The Intermediate Algebra textbook:
The textbook is in pdf format, which can be viewed and printed using the free Acrobat Reader software available from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2_allversions.html. Important Note: It is important that you have the most recent update of Acrobat Reader that is compatible with your operating system.

The textbook is provided free-of-charge in two ways: via this web site and on a CD.
If you want to access the textbook via the internet, the URL is
http://msenux.redwoods.edu/IntAlgText/
You should also receive the textbook on CD from your instructor. The file you want to open on the CD to get to the textbook is the start.html file. This file should open in the browser on your computer and give you a listing of the content of the textbook.
The files are the CD are identical to the ones on the web site. All files are in color, but can be printed on either a color or black & white printer.

Organization of the CD and this web site:
- Chapter files: Each Chapter file contains all of the chapter text, including exposition, exercises, answers to the odd problems, and an index. Solutions for the exercises are not included in the chapter files.
- Section files: Each Section file contains only the exposition for that section.
- Exercises with Answers: Each of these files contains all of the exercises in the section, along with answers to the odd problems.
- Exercises with Solutions: Each of these files contains all of the exercises in the section, along with detailed solutions to the odd problems.
Two special files are also provided for each chapter. The first combines all of the Exercises with Answers sets for the chapter, and the second combines all of the Exercises with Solutions sets.
Note: The Chapter files and combined Exercises with Answers and Exercises with Solutions sets are quite large (1-3 Mb). Web site users with a slow internet connection will probably want to download the smaller individual files for each section.
