  1. On page 207, the Summary Box uses the phrase "Vertical Transformations." This should say "Horizontal Transformations." Christina Hall, 9/22.

  1. On page 223, near the bottom in Item #2, it says "The 4 in N = 20 + 4t...". This should say "The 4 in d = 20 + 4t ...". Don Johnson 9/14.

  2. Exercise #3. The table in this exercise has a column two header that says "Sales S in Thousands." This should read "Sales S in Thousands of Dollars." Elsa Matthews, 9/22.

  1. On page 336 in the text. In the middle of the page under "Some comments are in order:", the first line reads "The voltage difference provide by the battery in the circuit is a function of time."In the sentence "provide" should be "provided."
  2. On page 350, exercise #7 says "The area under the curve is 150 miles. This is the distance traveled by the car." It should say "The area under the curve is 60 dollars.This is the total amount charged by the plumber for his work." Jason Buck, 9/26.
  3. On page 351, exercise #15 says "The domain of f is the set of all real numbers. The range of f is {-2, 2}." It should say "The domain of g is the set of all real numbers. The range of g is {-2, 2}." Paul Cudney, 9/28
