Final Chance to Provide Input to Show Cause Report

·         Numerous drafts have been posted for your review over the last few weeks and I thank all of you who have provided input to date!

·         The current draft is the final one before pulling the document into one file with all the other pieces (title page, certification, etc).  Once in the final file with evidence files numbered sequentially, we will be unable to make any changes other than spelling, grammatical and other corrections of errors.

·         Thus, it is imperative that you provide input NOW.  Remember, you can best help by alerting us to substantial errors and omissions.  It is too late to do major shifting around of ideas, paragraphs and evidence files.

·         How to do provide input:

o   Go to http://inside.redwoods.edu/accreditation/ACCJCDraftReports.asp where you will find 2 drafts – a combined response to all recommendations and a combined response to all standards.  Please use these documents for your review – not previous drafts of the report.

o   Send your comments to the co-chairs of the AOC – Bazard, David Dave-Bazard@Redwoods.edu and Goswami, Utpal (Utpal-Goswami@Redwoods.edu)

o   Structure your comments by referring to the 1)document (recommendations or standards), 2)page and 3)paragraph and then 4)state your issue.  This will make it  much easier for us to review and consider potential changes than for you to send us a marked up version of the entire document.  If you have concerns about this and feel you need to contribute input in another format, please talk with Dave or Utpal and they will help you figure out the best way to send your comments.

This workshop will explore concept mapping and brainstorming sessions as tools for classroom discussion, discovering knowledge, and problem-solving. We will look at teaching techniques using these methods. We will also examine free mind mapping software and commercial software such as Inspiration.
